Why volunteer with Healthwatch Devon?

Whether you have the time to help strategically direct our work by becoming a Trustee of the Board, or you love detail and closely listening to people, we’d like to hear from you.

You might be experienced, or new to volunteering in health and social care participation. Listening to and engaging with people who use services and the wider public will help improve the design and delivery of services now and in future. As the needs of our population change, health and care services need to change too, and we are recruiting and developing training and support for volunteers across Devon to listen to what people say, think, see, or feel about health and social care in Devon. Help us take Healthwatch Devon forward and join our growing band of volunteers.

If you’re interested in becoming a Trustee of Healthwatch Devon please take a look here.

We have the following volunteer Teams:

We’re looking for volunteers from the Devon County Council catchment area.

To carry out these roles you’ll be invited to attend an induction day. You’ll also be asked to join Healthwatch Devon as a member, if you’ve not already done so.

All successful volunteers will be given comprehensive training, and will be able to build up a portfolio. Support to help you carry out your role and reasonable out of pocket expenses will also be paid. There is a requirement for standard criminal records checks to be carried out.

Why not sign up for one of these roles – take home a warm glow and sense of achievement that you really will be helping to make a difference!
