New Safeguarding Chair Sought In Devon
Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership are currently recruiting for an Independent Chair of the new joint Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership.
The Chair of the newly formed Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership should have significant knowledge, and experience of working within services responsible for safeguarding adults, in order to command the respect and engagement of the Board and its constituent partners. Working across two local authority areas, they will have the ability to effectively align strategic agendas.
Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership are looking for someone with substantial knowledge and experience of Adult Safeguarding Policy and Practice who understands the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal, and is passionate about ensuring that adults at risk receive the best possible service.
They will need to demonstrate extensive experience in chairing and leading strategic partnerships and be able to offer an independent voice, representing the views of all partners whilst retaining the ability to challenge around improvement and effectiveness when required.
Most important to this challenging but rewarding role, they will also need to be able to demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders and partner agencies to promote the right of individuals to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
