Complaints process to re-open
NHS organisations have been informed that the NHS complaints process will re-open from 1st July. This means that the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) will begin accepting new health complaints, as well as progressing existing ones.
At the end of March, NHS England advised NHS organisations that due to the need to focus on the Covid-19 pandemic, they could pause the complaints process.
Should there be a second wave either locally or nationally of Covid-19, then it is possible that the process may be paused again.
