Become a Trustee

Could you be the next member of our dynamic and high performing Board?

Healthwatch Devon is the independent health and social care champion. We listen to what people like about services and what could be improved and help them to find the information they need.

We are building a network of partnerships to reach out into Devon communities to get a broader range of views and escalate concerns. We encourage services to make positive changes and involve people in decisions that affect them

Our work helps us to influence health and social care services in Devon; we act as a critical friend to the NHS, the County Council as well as other health and social care providers.

We are now looking for new Trustees to join our dynamic and high performing Board, whose responsibility is to determine the strategic direction and overall governance of the organisation.
Being a Trustee can be very rewarding and enjoyable offering an opportunity to serve the community whilst learning new skills. The Trustees role is to focus on the strategic direction of the charity and to ensure effectiveness and accountability.

Salary: Voluntary role, mileage and subsistence paid.
Commitment: Six Board meetings per year based in Devon.
