The NHS currently advises regular handwashing and cough etiquette, and that you self-isolate (stay at home) if you have any of the following symptoms:
– high temperature (feeling hot to touch on the chest or tummy)
– a cough
– difficulty breathing
If you do have any of the symptoms above, do not go to your GP, a pharmacist or a hospital, self isolate for 7 days. If you live with other people, they should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms.
If you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, your condition gets worse, or you do not get better after 7 days, please call 111 or visit https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19.
The Government have banned public gatherings of more than two people and said people should leave home only to exercise once a day, travel to and from work where “absolutely necessary”, shop for essential items and to fulfil any medical or care needs. All shops selling non-essential goods have been ordered to close.
