Could you be the next member of our dynamic and high performing Board?
Healthwatch Devon is the independent health and social care champion. We listen to what people like about services and what could be improved and we help them to find the information they need.
We are building a network of partnerships to reach out into the communities in order to get a broader range of views and escalate concerns. We encourage services to make positive changes and involve people in decisions that affect them. Our work helps us to influence health and social care services in Devon, we act as a critical friend to the NHS, the county council as well as other health and care providers.
We are now looking for new Trustees to join our dynamic and high performing Board, whose responsibility it is to determine the strategic direction and overall governance of the organisation. We are specifically interested in speaking to people who can offer us expertise and knowledge in the areas of business, fundraising, legal knowledge, research.
Being a Trustee can be very rewarding and enjoyable, offering an opportunity to apply your expertise to serve your community, whilst perhaps also learning new skills. The Trustees role is to focus on the strategic direction of the charity and to ensure effectiveness and accountability. Day-to-day operational decisions are delegated to the Chief Executive and the staff team.

- If you are invited to apply for the role of Trustee, we will review your application and pursue your references.
