NHS Choices is the online ‘front door’ to the NHS. It has all the information you need to make choices about your health. You can find information about hospitals, GPs and dentists and urgent care. As well as basic contact details, you can also find feedback from other people about what they think about these services. You can also find information about other services in your area that can help you with conditions from Alzheimers through to weight loss.

Housing Care provides a vast range of free information and guidance for elderly people, their relatives and carers, as well as professionals who work with them. Including specialist directories of over 40,000 retirement housing developments and care homes in the UK.
Care Direct is a leading community owned service provider delivering high quality and effective solutions for Health Care at all times including out-of-hours.

FirstStop Advice is an independent, free charitable service for older people, their families and carers. It aims to help you get the help or care you need to live as independently and comfortably as possible.
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) a national and Devon based service that provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. Valuing diversity, promoting equality and challenging discrimination. You can find your local branch using the CAB website Bureau search service.
Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCA) provides advocacy support to people who need help to make a complaint about health and social care services – or lack of it – that they have received from the NHS. This service is delivered by Support Empower Advocate Promote (SEAP), with the Devon Advocacy Consortium.
Care Quality Commission Where you can view all registered services including care homes. The CQC checks all hospitals, dentists, care homes and care services to see if they meet national standards. You can find out what they have to say about these services in your area by visiting their website.
